A Poem about Love
By ALICIA BRUGGEMAN
I love your toes,
I love your feet,
I love your ankles where they meet.
Your calves and scar-marked knees,
I love your thighs where they meet to please.
Your rounded hips and fierce backside,
That stomach of yours you often hide.
I love your chest and shoulders too,
I love your back, so often out of view.
I love your fingers, hands and wrists,
I love your arms, elbows and pits.
I love your neck, nose and jaw,
Your ears for what they heard,
Your eyes for what they saw.
I love everything about you from head to toe,
I love your awesome hair and skin aglow.
I love your smile, teeth and tongue,
No matter how old, or how young.
So…
Thank you for letting me love you,
No point made clearer.
Thank you for loving me back,
My dear, precious mirror.
