What is a Spiritual Doula?

Simply put, it is someone who holds space for others to focus on what brings them happiness in this life.

Maybe you’ve heard of a doula before? Most often a doula is associated with childbirth and is defined as “a trained companion who is not a healthcare professional and who supports another person through a significant health-related experience, such as childbirth, miscarriage, induced abortion or stillbirth, or non-reproductive experiences such as dying.” (Wikipedia) To add to this definition, doulas can help others with spiritual and mental health support as well. There are many types of doulas in the world: Birth, Postpartum, Death, Transitioning and Sexual Doulas can be found all over the internet. Another type of doula that is trending and emerging is the Spiritual or Soul Doula. The concept is the same, we help those transition from one phase of life to another.

Whether you’re a religious person or not at all, a Spiritual Doula can help you feel more connected to your higher power and the forces of the Universe. Remember, spirituality and religion are two separate and distinct things. I am not here to get you to change religions, just the opposite! Whatever your beliefs are, and no matter what you call your higher power; God, Allah, Buddha, Verse, Spirit, etc, I am here to strengthen that bond, not chip away at it or replace it.

My purpose on this planet is to spread love and empathy, and I want to share this gift with everyone I meet, as we are all children of Creation and deserve love and happiness.

Think of me as a therapist with tarot cards. I not only listen to what you tell me, but what your spirit/soul tells me. Oftentimes other spirits will aid me, ancestors love to speak to their descendants from beyond the veil and will lend their voices all too often during a reading.

Each person is different, therefore their spiritual journeys are different. Some are searching for confirmation, others are just searching… knowing that something is missing in their lives and they have no idea how to get it. My goal is to help you find what you are searching for, even if you don’t know what that is.

The ultimate goal of the Spiritual Doula is to help people reach enlightenment, and shepherd them to their source of power/energy.

With my practice, I focus on emotional and spiritual needs to help you live your best life. This can be achieved in multiple ways and always with care and confidentiality. I am a keeper of secrets and dreams, both of which must be embraced in order for your true self to emerge.

I believe in the physical and metaphysical, and that both must be in balance before true internal peace can be achieved.
